Fabulous Finds Birthday Cards
The new Cricut blog asked for posts using the Fabulous Finds cartridge. I made birthday cards for our grandchildren using the tri-fold album cut, and even the 12-year-old thought it was "so cool" to have flaps to open. These are pictures of Lauren's card.

Zig-zag Quilt
I was inspired by Leslie's quilts. She is one of my daughter's friends and I think it is awesome to learn from your children and their friends!
We were blessed with a new granddaughter last month and I decided that this would be the pattern for her quilt. Most of the fabric for A's quilt came from my stash and was left over from the quilts I had made for her girl cousins. Special, eh? The only fabric I bought was the backing which I think is perfect. I also used it for the binding. Love the effect of stripey fabric cut on the bias for binding!

Here is the tutorial that Leslie linked from her blog. I didn't make it quite as big.

Birthday Card
Front

Inside
I made this card for a little girl in my Primary class. I hadn't used my Cricut for several weeks so the creative process took awhile but it was fun to make. I used Create-a-Critter for the front, an MPS stamp for "yipee," Everyday Paper Dolls for the cloud, and I can't remember what I used for the balloons, grass and sentiment inside.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am enjoying this Thanksgiving week with our family -- well, 13 out of 17 at least! We are missing those who can't be here but grateful for those who are here and that those who are not here have REALLY good reasons to be elsewhere! I love our kids (including the "in-laws") and grandkids so much!
Hope everyone has a good week and that we can all count our blessings.
One of these days I will become a real blogger... :-)
